What is Derby’s vision?

Derby is a responsible menswear brand, all our products are made with high-quality standards. The vision of Derby is to create 1000 successful first-generation entrepreneurs by franchising Derby globally.

It does not matter if you are not experienced in running your own business or new to this field. Derby will guide you through every step and make this learning and operational curve seamless. Many of our franchisees were working professionals and they are successfully running their Derby stores.

The franchise partner would have to invest a refundable risk-free security deposit and interior cost based on the store size. Investment ranges from Rs.35-75 Lakhs, based on location & size of the store.

All investments in business come with risk. Derby has the experience of operating successful franchise operations and was started in 1994. Since a bulk of the investment is in the form of refundable deposits, the risk is mitigated to a large extent.

The franchise partner would incur the cost of the franchise fee, stock deposit, rental advance, store interior cost, and running operational cost.

Franchisee success is the priority and focus at Derby. Our team will support new franchise partners from the start, help locate the right store, train staff, set-up operation protocols etc. Derby will focus on providing the right product range suitable for the market, advertising and marketing support to bring more footfalls and post sales services to ensure happy and satisfied customers.

Most franchise partners are profitable from the first month of operations. Your return on investment will depend on your involvement in operating the business efficiently. Franchise partners can expect returns on their investments within 24 to 36 months of operations.

Once we finalize the retail location, it will take 15-21 days to get the store up and running.

The contract period ranges from 5 to 9 years.

Investments made by the franchise partner are split into two portions. – First part is risk-free/refundable deposit, made as rental deposit to the landlord for store premises. Stock deposit made to the Derby Brand for providing Derby merchandise for sale at your store. – Second part is investment into interior designing of your store as per brand standards. Note: All interior modules are dismantlable and part of the cost can be recouped during closure of store operations.

It is better for the franchisee to reside in the same city as the store. From Derby’s experience, franchisees who are involved, committed, and physically present at the store have seen better success and profitability.

The brand will be responsible for managing stock at the backend and providing every store with refills. Once the stock reaches a franchise store, it’s the responsibility of a franchise partner to make sure the products are maintained in good condition.

The brand is responsible for hiring staff and giving them sales training.
